East Gadsden High School Parents and Students Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!  This is your one-stop-shop for 9th grade World Cultural Geography and 10th grade World History.  The blog will log the day to day work of our classes by including information from the daily classroom board---to help you remember what you did in class during the day and to remind you of any homework or projects you need to complete.

We can also show examples of student work on our site.  I hope you will use it as yet another tool to help you succeed in Social Studies!

This picture of the earth was taken in August 1992 by the GOES-7 satellite.  You can see Hurricane andrew near North America. (Courtesy of F. Hasler, et al, the National oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and NASA).

The sign on my door says "Welcome to the World."  I chose that phrase carefully because that's what we do in this class, we learn about the world--the physical world in which we live but we also learn about our past, our cultures, langauges, traditions and beliefs, we learn about each other, about what we are and what we can be!  Its going to be an exciting year for the Jaguars at EGHS!
